Mcdowell Sonoran Conservancy

The Scottsdale community envisioned setting aside one-third of the city as
open space through the creation of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve.  Out of
this vision, the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy was founded to “preserve the
Sonoran Desert and its mountains for the benefit of this and all future
generations.”  Its three-fold mission is advocacy, education and
